Our open-plan cottages are elegantly furnished, self-sustainable units, each with a fully equipped kitchen, king-size bed, freestanding bath-tub and shower. A fireplace, wood-fired Kolkol hot tub and deck surrounding each cottage ensures guests can enjoy their stay throughout the seasons.

Poortjies
Poortjies is named after the Poortjieskloofdam, only a few kilometres down the road towards Barrydale – the stone used to build the dam wall came from our farm and you can still see what’s left of the old quarry on the farm. The quarry created a lush little micro climate teaming with life!

About us
Precious & Pristine
Suidster was built as a self-sustainable hideaway in the Klein Karoo, relying on the sun for power and the soil for food. The cottages and the main house run off solar and are completely off-grid.
We have a lovely 5 km trail starting at the pile of stones near the top of the main road that runs past the cottages to the main house.
Please bear in mind, out here, we must always treat the veld, power and water as the precious resources they are.
